From the moment I unwrapped one of the “Wagon Wheels Jammie” biscuits, I recognised the familiar format — two crunchy biscuits sandwiching a marshmallow-style filling, coated in chocolate-flavoured casing. What sets this variant apart is the addition of raspberry-flavoured apple jam. According to the packaging the jam makes up about 5 % of the product.
On tasting, the biscuit layer remains satisfyingly firm and malty, offering a nostalgic base. The marshmallow centre adds a soft, chewy contrast. The jam bursts through with a fruity sweetness, which I found fun and slightly surprising compared with the original version. The chocolate-flavoured coating ties everything together, although it doesn’t deliver deep cocoa richness — it’s sweeter than sophisticated chocolate.
In my experience the Jammie version is enjoyable as a snack with tea or as a nostalgic treat, especially if you like sweet-snack formats with a fruit twist. It may feel quite rich and very sweet for those who prefer more subtle or less sugary biscuits.
