The build feels robust and premium compared to many budget air fryers. The cabinet is solidly assembled, the drawer mechanism glides smoothly, and the basket is roomy with a non-stick finish. The control panel is modern and intuitive, with 12 preset cooking functions clearly labelled. Ergonomics are strong: the front-mounted basket handle is easy to access, and the size—though fairly large—still fits well on a kitchen countertop without dominating it. Packaging and accessories are acceptable, though some users have noted that the packaging materials could be more eco-friendly.
One of the standout features is the dual-heating-element system, with a heating element both above and below the food basket. This design aims to eliminate the need for pre-heating and to prevent the need to shake or flip food mid-cycle. Additionally, via the “360 ThermoIQ” technology, the system monitors and distributes heat more evenly across the basket. The fryer offers 12 presets including chicken, veggies, steak, fries, seafood, frozen, bake, reheat, roast, and broil, and these can be manually adjusted for time and temperature. The smart connectivity via the VeSync app adds convenience, though full remote start isn’t always possible.
In real-world use, the Dual Blaze delivers impressive results. Frozen fries came out crisp on the outside and soft within without needing to pause and shake. Vegetables roasted evenly with a good level of browning, and baked items showed good internal texture and external crispness. The basket size comfortably supports four portions. Users found the operation quiet and efficient. There is still need for some food movement for very dense items, but overall the experience is much easier than older air fryers which required many manual adjustments.
While this unit is not marketed as a professional kitchen appliance, it offers a level of precision and consistency well above many mainstream models. The two-element system ensures fewer “cold spots” and less need for user intervention. That said, for very large batches or highly varied foods loaded in at once, the results can fall slightly short of premium oven-level consistency. Also, the app-connection gives good recipe flexibility, though it stops short of full smart control (you still need to initiate cooking manually in some cases).
This air fryer is ideal for:
It is less suited to:
Setup is straightforward: plug in, select your preset or manual mode, set time and temperature, and start. The preset menu covers most common cooking tasks, reducing the need to learn temperature and timing from scratch. The app provides recipe inspiration and guidance, which helps beginners. Controls are intuitive and most tasks require minimal prior experience. Very little calibration is needed.
The air fryer has no consumables beyond usual cleaning and maintenance. Energy consumption is efficient relative to full ovens, and the dual-element design helps reduce cooking time and pre-heat waste. The build quality suggests it will last many years under normal home use. There are no subscription or recurring costs. The non-stick basket may eventually show wear—hand‐washing rather than dish-washing is recommended to prolong the life of the coating. Some users report minor issues with coating peeling after extended use.
In testing, the Dual Blaze delivered consistent results at everyday cooking volumes, and did so rapidly without large energy draw. Its ability to cook without pre-heating and without mid-cycle shaking means less active user time and less wasted time. Under heavy load (very full baskets or simultaneous multiple types of food), the system sees reduced headroom compared to commercial units, but for typical daily use it performs very well.
The COSORI Dual Blaze 6.4 L Air Fryer is a compelling upgrade for anyone serious about home air-frying, roasting and baking. Its dual-element heating system gives a clear performance advantage over simpler models, and the build, controls and usability are all strong. While not perfect (it’s not designed for very large families or professional kitchens), it delivers excellent value for its intended audience. For daily use in a household of up to four that values good results and ease of use, this unit is highly recommended.
