The Orange Tree Congleton

The Orange Tree is one of the latest additions to the small market town of Congleton, offering up-market dining in a pleasant atmosphere with a concise yet diverse menu offering. The large three-storey building provides a beautiful setting with generous grounds for outdoor drinks, dining and a pleasant afternoon. The interior décor is modern yet stylish and the general atmosphere lends itself to dining in comfort with friends & family.

As a bar & grill, the menu provides what you might expect from such a venue: predominantly meat, burgers & fish. It’s a strong menu promising top-quality food.

Food Quality 4/5

I had the medium rare steak and it was absolutely spot on. Perfectly cooked with a warm, pink centre and a beautifully seared crust. The meat was tender, juicy, and full of flavour—clearly high quality and expertly prepared. Paired with their sides and a good glass of red, it made for a really satisfying meal. Highly recommend if you’re after a proper steak done right.

Another important aspect of dining is the service: am I going to be waited on enough, but not too much? The Orange Tree have excellent staff and some of the best service we’ve seen yet. They’re attentive, polite & well organised to deal with high volume, so you’re in good hands whether it’s empty or full.

A clean & modern yet stylish interior combine with reasonable ambient music for a pleasant experience overall. It’s not gaudy or tasteless, it’s well thought out and presented.
