The Plough at Eaton

With a number of awards under it’s belt and a dandy history of service as a local restaurant on the outskirts of Congleton, the Plough Inn benefits from it’s rural location and beautiful oak barn which is the perfect wedding venue. It’s well known in town as one of THE places to go for food, and for good reason. It has all the charm of a country pub paired with excellent service, a good choice of drinks and a solid menu sporting good old British Food, cooked really well.

Excellent British Food

As a British pub with a long history of serving great food, the menu is what you’d expect: traditional English food including pies, steaks & fish and chips. Not only are these hearty offerings cooked well and in the traditional style, they’re on the more generous side of things so you can expect to leave feeling full & satisfied. Their menu is surprisingly large and whilst this is normally not a good sign, they seem to cope well with it, so not only are you going to get great British grub, there’s a wide choice of items to choose from.

Situated on the Macclesfield road just on the outskirts of Congleton, the inn benefits from it’s beautiful surroundings just as much as it does from it’s stunning interior. Well known as a wedding venue for this exact reason: it can be busy so you’ll need to book in advance to ensure you don’t get turned away, it’s happened a couple of times! The charming and rustic interior of the Plough inn make for an atmospheric experience and one we’re eager to have some time soon.

As one of the best restaurants in town, the Plough’s service is another quality in the list of many that immediately put it on the radar when looking for somewhere to eat out.

Overall, The Plough Inn at Eaton is easily one of Congleton’s finest eateries and it ticks all the boxes when you’re looking for good food in a nice place with professional service.
